Doctors from the Orthopaedic Clinic in Baton Rouge, LA, the Center for Hip and Knee Surgery in Mooresville, IN, and the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY, noted in the study that UHMW PE "is currently the best polymer available for use in joint replacement prostheses."
